IRVINE, CALIF., Feb. 26, 2016 – Patrick Hutchins has been named President of Staco Systems, the world’s leading provider of dependable cockpit solutions for illuminated panels, switches, data entry systems and subsystems.  His tenure began Feb. 22, when he succeeded retiring outgoing president Bruce Gray.

“It has been my pride and privilege to lead this company for nine years,” Gray said.  “I know Patrick will have the support of a great team.”

Hutchins has extensive experience providing high technology products and services for commercial electronics, wireless communications and power solutions for industrial and aerospace markets.  He most recently served as a Vice President and General Manager for LISI Aerospace.  Hutchins also served in several executive roles as Chief Operations Officer of Automated Precision Incorporated, Satellite Division President and Chief Operations Officer of CalAmp Corp and President and General Manager of Chloride Systems, a division of Genlyte Thomas (now Philips Lighting).

Hutchins has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

“I’m excited to be joining Staco Systems,” Hutchins said.  “Our experience and innovative products have Staco well positioned for future growth with switch products and avionic subsystems.”

Staco’s newest illuminated panel – available for installation in any airplane or helicopter cockpit, ship or ground vehicle – is coated with a patented polymer that eliminates light leakage and costly repair or replacement.  Staco warranties the faceplates for the life of the airframe.  The panels also feature advanced optical characteristics and built-in hidden SLR legends.  Options are available for NVIS-compliant lighting, LED or incandescent lighting, unlimited color combinations and other customization.
