REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
Staco Systems is looking for several experienced Sales Managers to manage sales activities and develop new business opportunities within our Switch, Data Entry Solutions and Sub-Systems Business Units. The main products of these business units include custom and ruggedized switches, keyboards, keypads, and other data entry products designed for deployment in a harsh environment, as well as interface solutions for mission-critical applications. The targeted customers are those in military, aerospace, and industrial markets.
The Sales Managers are responsible for achieving sales goals and maximizing the growth of our business in our existing and new markets. The ability to close deals and identify new customers in the new markets is critical to the success of these positions. Both positions are also responsible for developing a strategy to penetrate new markets with custom design and standard products. By analyzing these opportunities, you will set the priority to maximize the revenues, profits, and close ratio of the sale leads.
Each Sales Manager will be the primary contact for customers by working with various departments inside Staco Systems. 20–50% domestic and international travel is required for this position in order to visit customers and factory representatives.
Requirements:
- Experience working with custom engineered products is a must.
- Successful experience working in small companies or start-ups is a plus.
- Candidates must have an engineering degree; either electrical, mechanical or industrial, with a minimum 5 years of experience in sales or business development for military, aerospace, and industrial products.
- Proven track records to successfully develop strategies and open new accounts in existing and new markets.
- Ability to sell custom designed products that require substantial technical discussion with customers.
- Strong customer experience and entrepreneurial spirit.
In addition to the above qualifications, the selected candidates will be team players with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various departments and all levels of personnel with diplomacy and emotional maturity. The selected candidates must be able to make independent decisions and set priorities based on technical and business trade-offs. This employee must be self-motivated, project and schedule driven, and able to perform tasks with minimum supervision.
