Staco Systems Wins Custom Pointer Module Contract for a Military Application

Irvine, CA – August 2, 2010
Staco Systems, the preeminent provider of dependable, high precision Human-Machine Interface (HMI) solutions, was selected to provide a custom designed 5-button pointer module, the KP-001, to a classified branch of the military.

The KP-001 will be used as a control unit for a communications sub-system. The unit has two mouse buttons BT1 and BT2, function buttons F1 and F2, and a simple “ON/OFF.” The module has an IP67 enclosure and is a plug and play unit. It is designed to meet MIL-810 and MIL-461 standards.

The KP-001 is able to endure very harsh warfare environments. This product meets battlefield requirements with its light weight and compact design as well as capable of being immersed in water of 1 m in depth for 30 minutes. The ergonomic design makes it easy to operate with one hand.
