Staco Systems Wins Custom Keyboard Contract for Flight Operations Solutions Provider

Staco Systems, a leading supplier of aerospace control solutions, has been selected to provide custom keyboards to a flight operations solutions and services provider for the aviation industry. The custom, Mil-Spec keyboards will be used in the cockpit crew control station in a large aircraft similar to Airbus and Boeing.

The distinct keyboard design is a challenge for this application because of its particular geometry requirement to fit into a special enclosure that integrates other advanced input devices such as a screen, Bluetooth, charger, and touchpad in one complete unit. This keyboard must also be backlit, lightweight, ultra-slim, and rugged – rated IP67 and meet DO160 and MIL-810 specifications.

As a long-standing, qualified supplier of rugged keyboards and keypads for aviation, military, and industrial applications, Staco Systems is seasoned in designing, developing, and implementing custom design specifications.
